What is C6 Bank’s Home Broker?
A home broker is a digital channel through which an investor sends buy or sell orders to a brokerage intermediary. Brazil’s government investor portal identifies a home broker and a broker’s trading desk as principal ways retail investors can send those orders (Portal do Investidor: Como enviar as ordens).
C6 Bank announced its Home Broker on 11 August 2023 as a web platform accessible on tablets, notebooks and computers. The bank said sessions could last up to eight hours. These are details from the launch announcement, not independent testing of the platform’s usability (C6 Bank launch announcement).
What could investors do at launch?
The 2023 announcement said users could monitor quotes and portfolio positions, view charts and B3 news, customize the information displayed in a grid, and place buy or sell orders for the same day. It also described stop orders tied to a customer-defined gain or loss limit. These features describe what C6 Bank announced at launch; they should not be taken as confirmation that every tool or order condition remains unchanged.

Assets named in the launch announcement
C6 Bank’s release listed shares, futures markets, real estate investment funds (FIIs), Brazilian Depositary Receipts (BDRs) and exchange-traded funds (ETFs). The bank’s current product page describes trading in variable-income assets and futures and advertises real-time indicators, charts, market news and order tools. How to access the Home Broker
Activation descriptions have changed since launch. In 2023, C6 Bank said customers needed investment profile level 3 and brokerage registration, then had to enable the platform in the bank app. The current Home Broker page says any individual C6 Bank customer can use the tool without charge and points to activation through C6 Invest in the app. Because eligibility and activation instructions can change, follow the current in-app directions and terms rather than relying on the launch-era requirements (C6 Bank launch announcement; C6 Bank Home Broker).

- Open the C6 Bank app and go to C6 Invest.
- Follow the current Home Broker activation instructions shown in the app, including any eligibility checks or brokerage-registration steps it requires.
- Review the current product terms, available instruments and costs before submitting an order.
What does C6 Bank’s Home Broker cost?
C6 Bank says the platform is free to use and that it does not charge brokerage on the covered operations. That does not mean every trade is cost-free: B3 fees and applicable taxes may still apply. Brazil’s government investor portal also notes that charges can vary by trading channel, service package and the investor’s relationship with the broker. C6 Bank’s head of investments, Igor Rongel, said the bank had developed a robust interface with uncomplicated and secure navigation. That is the bank’s promotional description; the announcement does not independently establish security or user experience. If you are comparing brokerage platforms, useful points to check include supported asset classes, order tools, access requirements and total costs—including brokerage, exchange charges and taxes. The launch release itself supplies no market-size, customer-count or trading-result figure relevant to evaluating the service.
